Handcrafted in the Satsuma Kiriko tradition, this glass revives the legendary “Satsuma no Beni”,
the first red-colored glass ever successfully created in Japan during the nineteenth century.
Born of flame and perfected by craftsmanship, it embodies both heritage and light.
Featuring a chrysanthemum cut pattern, the glass radiates warm, amber-like reflections through its thick crystal walls.
Diameter 8.0 cm, height 9.0 cm, full capacity 250 ml.
Made of K9 lead-free crystal glass, suitable for cold or room-temperature beverages.
(Not recommended for hot liquids above 60 °C.)
Each piece is individually hand-cut, so minor variations in pattern or angle may occur — a natural mark of true craftsmanship.
Single glass sets come in Japanese washi paper boxes sealed with wax,
while the pair set is presented in a wooden gift box with metal ice cubes and tongs,
perfect for whisky lovers or those who appreciate fine Japanese artistry.
From fire came glass, from light came amber.
When Satsuma no Beni meets whisky,
what glows within the cup is a century of flame.
